Happy runner

It’s 1:00am and I know I should be asleep but I wanted to put up a quick post before I go to bed. I feel sooo much better today. I drank some theraflu last night and I woke up feeling 10x better this morning. I went for a 20 min. light jog this morning and this evening I ran 10  9 miles with some of my awesome friends who are doing the San Antonio Rock n Roll Marathon & Half Marathon event with me. My run this evening made me a happy runner. I reflected a lot during my run and I’ve realized I’ve come such a long way in running. I love it and I love the way I feel when I run. I feel I’m at the best shape of my life! Honestly! Finishing the half marathon on Sunday is going to be a big accomplishment for me. I can’t even fathom how I’m going to feel when I cross the finish line! It’s so exciting!! I’m scheduled to do one more short run and the rest of the week I am planning on doing lots of yoga, spend time in the pool, and do light strength training.

 I also started a 4 weeks course personal fitness trainer program today. There’s 6 of us total in the class and I’m the only girl. I felt weird at first but everybody else are really cool with me. Everyone is there because they want to learn, pass the certification test, and they have a passion to be life changers! The instructor is a really cool guy, laid back, easy to understand, and he gives us breaks so we can eat our snacks – since we are suppose to eat every 2-3 hours .
