I am taking a slight break from the regular programming; I’ve decided that now is as good a time as ever to introduce another facet of my life: running
I have a love/hate relationship with running. Sometimes it’s the love of my life and I cannot imagine a day without lacing up my shoes and gliding over the streets; it’s during these time periods that I managed to run 3 half-marathons and countless 5ks/10ks. Other days, well, I’d much rather pick Chinese water torture over running. I am currently in a “love running” phase, thanks to the ever lovely Runner’s World magazine (great for making me feel sluggish, lazy, and lame…and therefore great for getting me out onto the streets) and to the fact that I *finally* stepped onto the scale and saw the toll that eating like a hormonal 13-year-old boy/studying in place of moving has taken. And while yes, weight is really just a number, I’m not ok with my favorite ’spensive jeans being a bit snug or just feeling plain unhealthy.
The whole feeling plan unhealthy part is definitely worse.
Alas, right now I’m just running to run (and to get out of my laziness rut). But in a few short weeks I’ll start training for my 4th short marathon. So expect some running lamentations in the near future.
