My Resolution - Day 22

Ahh Friday. Tis’ the mark of the weekend which is much awaited and revered. This week has been pretty hard on me sleep wise and I am dying to get to bed and get tons of sleep. I woke up plenty early this morning and went through my morning routine as always. For lunch we got our bucket o’ bagels that we tend to get every once in awhile that is cheap and fills you up quite well. After lunch was over I spent much of my time trying to figure out how to part tomato soup so that you could capture it in a photograph. I have a few ideas, but the execution will be rather tough, however we shall see how it goes. After school ended, I was informed that my friend Breanna could not be a part of our dodge ball team for the battle between us and rival high school Niwot in the upcoming tournament. Running out of options as now Breanna could not play with our team, and my girl friend had already decided to make a team of girls with her friends, I did not know where else to turn to find a decent athlete to play dodge ball with our team. A strange thought came into my head however. I texted my ex girl friend and asked her. Not having talked to her in many many months, and not exactly on speaking terms this was a long shot, but oh well what did I have to lose? Oddly enough, in a series of a few short events none of us could explain why she instantly said yes. The texts between her and I read as follows: “Hey Traci this is Kenny, first off sorry for being a jerk to you and all that, second would you like to play for our dodge ball team in the tournament against Niwot?” Her response, “When is it?” I responded with the date, and she said “Sure I’ll be on your team.” to which I replied “Sweet, that’s awesome, lets meet after school and I can give you the forms to sign.” Her reply back, “Alright want to meet up by your locker?” I responded, “Yes that will work.” My friends and I were dumb founded. We are still not entirely sure how I went from not being on speaking or eye contact terms with her, to all of a sudden a seeming friend, playing dodge ball on the same team. I think we were all expecting a little bit of an argument or retaliation from her, or not even a reply. For some strange reason however, she excepted and I am now giving her a ride to the tournament next Saturday. How does that work? Its just one of those things that the world may never know.

With that said, I enjoyed the rest of my evening, going to the Longmont vs Silver Creek rivalry basketball game, at Longmont. To which, as expected we got killed by 30+ points, however, that is an extreme improvement from last year after our embarrassing 90-25 loss. That was fun, and after my girl friend and I enjoyed a few competitive games of pool and watched a flick, Casino Royale.

It is now time for me to nod off before I pass out from exhaustion. Good bye.
