yep, I’ve got it…bullets it is.
- I have ALMOST got the piecing done on my current project. While it is a pain to have to come home after work and keep working and keep being on my feet ….I do love it. It relaxes me – most of the time. I use this time to think about stuff and try to work it out in my head to all make sense. Sometimes it works and others…not so much.
- I have done good (ok sorta good) with the whole watch what you eat thing this week. Granted I did have Moe’s for dinner tonight but I didn’t eat one chip and I didn’t get my burrito in a flour tortilla – it was in a bowl. So I think making the little changes are going to show up big on the scale…at least that’s what I’m hoping will happen. As I’m typing this my stomach is growling and I am fighting the urge to go get a snack bag of cheetos.
- I am ammending my bucket list that I posted some time ago to add…a triathalon. I am fortunate enough to have friends that are just as crazy as I am and have agreed to give it a go with me so …the date is tenatively set for this coming OCT/NOV for my very first Tri. Holy cow I can’t believe I’m doing this. I have enlisted the help of a certified Tri trainer because honestly, you don’t just do stuff like that without some type of training. At least I don’t because I’m not that brave…I need instruction grasshoppa’.
- I noticed some EWCM the last 3 days. That is a really great sign that my cycle is responding to the exercise regiment and getting regular. I think today is CD 15 for me so that sounds in line with the extra fluid.
- Wedding planning is going ok. Still no photographer or DJ yet. We are still looking at venues and reception sites although we may have narrowed it down a bit. We go Friday to check out a local place that has an old world charm to it. We have finalized what the invitations will say and how we would like them to look and our first dance lesson is next Sat. whoo hoo!
- Workouts are going good and are fixin’ to get really crazy I think. Especially now with a whole year’s worth of running events. If I’m not mistaken we have 4 races this year! I must be looney toones. I set my best time (since being uber fit in college) on a mile this week at 13:35. It’s not great but at least it is a step in the right direction.
- Biggest Loser is annoying me. More to the point - Jillian is annoying me – I seems like she is becoming a total sell out and quite frankly it’s a little off-putting. I still love the show though and digging through all the “hollywood” crap I still think it’s worth watching. I must say too that during the last episode where she had to eat all the processed, hydrogenated fats, and whatever else she was saying…I was sitting here going “DAMN, that looks good!” Obviously, there is a reason I am where I am today LOL!
- I almost bought diet pills today. I was in CVS thinking “hmmm…this might help get me there faster and not look like a huge ass cow as long” but then, thankfully, my common sense chimed in and said “hey you, put that down. Just stick with what you are doing and you will see results.” So I did… and instead picked up a B-Complex vitamin that was b.o.g.o so that I could have a bottle in my gym bag and so could Jo. I think this was a much healthier choice than the diet pills and I feel empowered to make better decisions now too! Not to mention how proud I am of myself for not taking the easy road…
- I have another job. Just part time at the fabric shop but it’s good to get my feet wet and learn the ropes of a small business up close. Since I want to own my own shop one day I though well, every other Sat. isn’t a bad deal and I can get paid in fabric if Ichoose which help sate my unquenchable thirst for it! It will save us money to because good fabric will run you $10 a yard so that’s something I guess. Mostly I just wanted to have the learning oppourtunity – it’s not for the money or the fabric – although that doesn’t hurt
So just so we are clear here I have 3 jobs currently. One VERY full time job and two part time jobs…plus a wedding, plus ttc, plus training….jeesh!
